Authorities in Newark are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man wanted in connection with a shooting reported in November on Leslie Street.
Police said, the incident was recorded at approximately 4:01 a.m. on November 14, 2025, when the city’s ShotSpotter detection system alerted police to gunfire in the 300 block of Leslie Street.
Officers responding to the scene recovered two 9mm shell casings, though no victims were found upon arrival.
An image of the individual being sought has been released as part of the ongoing investigation.
Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda Sr. is urging anyone with information about the man’s identity to contact the Newark Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stoppers tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS .
