LOUISVILLE, Ky. — U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers in Louisville seized three shipments of counterfeit jewelry from Hong Kong and Taiwan on Dec. 5 and Dec. 8, according to a release. The goods would've had a combined suggested retail price of $18.6 million had they been genuine.
According to CBP, the first two shipments arrived Dec. 5 from Hong Kong; one was headed to a residence on Staten Island, New York, while the other was going to Irving, Texas. Officers discovered 400 Cartier watches, 26 Moncler hats and 30 Chrome Hearts hats in the first parcel; eight Cartier and 13 Audemars Piguet watches were found in the second parcel.
