The Cleveland Browns have named Shedeur Sanders their starting quarterback for the remainder of the season, giving him a chance to prove that he can be a long-term option for the franchise.
While he'll be given that opportunity for this season, most predictions continue to be that the Browns will draft a quarterback early in the 2026 NFL Draft. Some have even suggested that Cleveland could try to trade up to the No. 1 overall pick for a new signal caller.
Should the Browns make an aggressive move for a rookie quarterback, Sanders would likely see his chance as a franchise quarterback in Cleveland come to an end.
