Michiganders planning to travel over Christmas should plan for snowy, cold conditions, according to long-range forecasts.
The Old Farmer's Almanac released its 2025 Christmas travel forecast for the U.S. on Dec. 2, showing some regions can plan for clear roads and an easy trek home. Others are more likely to have travel delays. Overall, snowy conditions are expected in the Midwest, Northeast, eastern Ohio Valley and Alaska.
The almanac expects significantly cold temperatures across the Lower Peninsula and snow statewide over Christmas.
The National Weather Service's 8-14 day outlook , issued on Dec. 9, shows similar cold temperatures and precipitation conditions.
