SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The Savannah Convention Center Board of Directors hosted their annual Holiday Luncheon this afternoon, celebrating the impact the center has had on the Hostess City for 25 years.

The event featured a red carpet with elected officials and special guests, as well as a viewing of the 25th Anniversary Documentary.

The Convention Center introduced a $276 million expansion that was completed earlier this year in February, and construction is currently underway for the $398 million Signia by Hilton Hotel. Senior VP of the Convention Center, Kelvin Moore, explains that these improvements are not the finish line, but a launch point for the next 25 years.
