xHYDERABAD : The Congress government has disbursed cheques amounting to ₹1,685 crore under the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) over the last two years, extending critical medical assistance to 3.76 lakh beneficiaries from poor and middle-class families.

According to official data released on Wednesday, the Congress government has nearly doubled the annual average CMRF disbursement compared to the previous BRS regime.

While the BRS government spent around ₹450 crore per year between 2014 and 2024, the current Congress government has averaged close to ₹850 crore annually, setting a new benchmark in financial aid
