JACKSON – A new boys basketball season has tipped off and we are starting to see some impressive performances from teams and players all around the Jackson area.
As teams continue to work their way through the season, here are some players in the Jackson area that basketball fans need to keep an eye on.
Caleb Blonde, Jonesville
Blonde had a breakout year for the Comets with 16.9 points, 2.6 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game last year and hit 73% of his free throws. This year he already has a 26-point game in the Comets win over Homer.
Brock Butler, Homer
Butler is already off to a strong start with a 20-point game in the Trojans’ loss to Jonesville last week.
Ashton Callan, Lumen Christi
Callan comes into his sophomore year with high expectations for himself and the Tita
