A beautician who was headbutted and left lying on the floor by a partner she loved fears she would have been killed if she hadn’t found the courage to leave.

Elle Jenkins from Maidstone suffered at the hands of Lee George, but had stayed with him for months despite his threats to kill her or have acid thrown over her face.

It wasn’t until the 35-year-old headbutted her, leaving her lying on the floor with severe concussion that she realised she needed to leave, believing he’d kill her if she didn’t get away.

“I truly believe that if it hadn’t ended when it did, he would have killed me,” the 26-year-old said.
