Missouri women’s basketball will face Illinois on Wednesday night at Mizzou Arena, which is perhaps the strongest opponent Harper in her first season as the Tigers’ head coach to date.
Mizzou (9-2) earned a dramatic late home win over California, as Shannon Dowell scored the game-winning layup with less than two seconds on the clock, in the ACC/SEC Challenge this past Thursday. The Tigers then had to come from behind to beat SIUE on Sunday in Columbia.
It has been an imperfect start to the season, with losses to Kansas and Troy and a come-from-behind victory over mid-major SIUE. Now, the challenge ramps up with Illinois.
