GRAND RAPIDS, MI -- A 19-year-old former Hudsonville football standout accused in a federal gun case had his bond revoked Wednesday, Dec. 10.
Ethan Michael Carter was in a Grand Rapids federal courtroom Wednesday as prosecutors went over evidence to show he violated probation Thanksgiving Day.
Carter earlier this year made news reports after he was shot during a reported robbery in Alabama.
Investigators believe Carter had arranged to meet two people on July 12 through a social media platform to purchase a Glock firearm.
The encounter escalated into a robbery, during which Carter was shot, and his vehicle was stolen, police said.
There was nothing to suggest the gun sale was illegal, police in Alabama said.
