A 23-year-old St. Cloud woman told her co-worker "she gets so crazy to the point she will kill somebody” a week before she is accused of stabbing her boyfriend to death, according to charges filed this week.

Katerina Ivanovna Markiv is currently being held at the Stearns County Jail on second-degree murder charges following the fatal stabbing Quinton McKay Hughes, 25, of Sauk Rapids, at her St. Cloud apartment in the early hours of Sunday, Dec. 8.

Hughes had called 911 to report being stabbed, and responders arrived to find him unresponsive on the floor, covered in blood, and suffering from a stab wound to the chest.
