CROSS CITY, Fla. (WCJB) - Firefighters in Dixie County came together to support one of their own in her time of need.

A cancer diagnosis often brings about thoughts and prayers, but at the Dixie County Fire Rescue station, the actions of those brave souls inside spoke louder than words ever could.

For nearly two decades, Anne Roberson has been a force of love at her beloved station, helping to serve the community she calls home.

Her colleagues describe her as a rock who would drop anything to help the people she loves, feeding endless positivity into the community around her.

“She means everything to our department. I mean you have those people who have stuck around through everything and she’s one of them,” Dixie County Firefighter Blake Watson said.
