It took seven attempts, but eventually Krystal Killah left her abuser.
“I was in an abusive relationship, and I know how it feels to be in an abusive relationship,” she said.

Killah endured physical, mental and financial abuse at the hands of a man who was supposed to love her. They were together for five years.
She said she suffered “bruises to my face and body. He punched me to the point I was unrecognizable. He put my head through a wall. He financially abused me. I was living pay cheque to pay cheque, to support him. He was working, but he was also an alcoholic and a drug user. He had high highs and low lows.”
