LONDONDERRY, N.H. —
A man died by suicide after a standoff with police in Londonderry on Tuesday night.
According to Manchester police, the man was first located in the Queen City. Police said he was believed to be armed and "experiencing a mental health crisis."
Officers tried to stop the vehicle he was in, but he drove into Londonderry before he was stopped near a gas station on Rockingham Road.
Police said a standoff ensued, and negotiators worked for hours to persuade the man to exit the vehicle.

According to Manchester police, during the standoff, the man fired at officers and an officer returned fire. Police said no one was injured in that exchange.
After several hours, the man died by suicide
