Former TV host Wendy Williams could be freed from court-ordered guardianship by the end of the year, according to her attorney Joe Tacopina, who cited a recent medical evaluation that contradicts an earlier diagnosis.

Tacopina told ABC’s “Nightline” that a top neurologist determined last month that Williams does not have frontotemporal dementia, a finding that conflicts with a diagnosis from two years ago.

“[Williams] does not have frontotemporal dementia, so that should be game, set, match,” Tacopina said.

Williams, 61, completed a series of medical tests in New York City, with results sent to her legal team in late October, according to Page Six . The attorney said guardianship attorneys have assured Williams she will be out of the arrangement by year’s end.
