LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Another cold front will bring a brief cooldown Thursday before temperatures climb again.
We’ll start Thursday morning with temps in the mid/upper 30s north of I-10 for Thursday morning, and into the lower 40s along the interstate. You’ll want the jacket for the morning commute but won’t need it in the afternoon with sunny skies and highs in the low-to-mid 60’s.
Winds will then shift back out of the southeast as we await the arrival of the next front that comes in heading into the weekend. High temperatures will climb into the low- to-middle 70s as we head into Friday and Saturday. Higher humidity means a stray shower can’t be ruled out, but things will be mostly dry to start the weekend. This means outdoor plans should be OK during this time.
We’ll watch for i
