LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Mid-Michigan experienced heavy snowfall on Wednesday morning, and although it has cleared, Lansing officials are now monitoring for ice as temperatures drop.

Mayor Andy Schor and Public Service Director Andy Kilpatrick met to discuss how the city will prepare as more winter weather moves in.

“The temperatures are fairly warm at the moment; roads are slushy in the neighborhoods. But temperatures are expected to fall over the next several days, so if we don’t get things cleared now, it will start to turn icy, especially in neighborhood streets,” said Kilpatrick.

South Lansing resident Jessica Delaforce spent most of the day shoveling snow from her driveway. She was completely snowed in and couldn’t make it to work.
