OSHKOSH, Wis. (WBAY) - A listening session is being held with the Oshkosh Area School District Board of Education on Wednesday about budget reduction recommendations.

Those recommendations include a proposal to eliminate an estimated 70 full-time positions throughout the district.

As we’ve reported, the district is making this announcement in an effort to reduce its budget by $6 million.

The listening session is letting the Oshkosh school board hear what teachers and parents have to say about the recommendations.

After the listening session, the board will discuss the 2026 to 2027 budget reduction recommendations. However, no action will take place.
