GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - With the snow sticking to the ground, local businesses like ski hills and ski outlets see a positive impact on their business. One tells us they sold almost double last weekend than they did on Black Friday. And that’s all thanks to the snow.

Rick Schmitz, the owner of Nordic Mountain, says this is a great start to the winter season and other businesses agree. Employees with the Skiers Outlet in Oshkosh say they see a huge decline if snow isn’t on the ground.

“Christmas of course brings people in for us every year that just keeps coming doesn’t matter. But we see a drastic fall of in business after Christmas if it’s not snowing outside,” said Schmitz.

Schmitz says he is enthusiastic about this year; more people come to the hill when they see snow on the ground.
