GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Local firefighters making the holidays brighter for children in HSHS St Vincent Children’s Hospital in Green Bay.

The Green Bay Metro Fire Department along with Central Church teamed up for the annual event.

The long-standing tradition bringing them together to visit families in the hospital during the holiday season, surprising kids with firetrucks flashing and of course, presents!

“We’re with those patients and their families during some of the most difficult times, so again the support from our community means everything to them, and seeing all those smiles and the excitement, it really takes away from what’s going on in the hospital for the day and brings joy during the season,” said Amy Bardon, Director of Nursing, HSHS St. Vincent Children’s Hospital.
