CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - Thursday marks two weeks from Christmas. It’s a festive countdown for some, and something of a stressful deadline for many others.
Licensed clinical therapist Erin Randol said she hears from parents about the stress of the season, usually mothers of young children.
“There’s this idea of the mental load and having to juggle a bunch of things. The calendars can get really full this time of year, depending on the ages and stages of your children and their development.”
Randol said some of the biggest stressors include having to remember everything and wanting to be the best parent possible.
“I work with, primarily, women in the therapy room at my therapy clinic, and so they really have a lot to juggle. Different families, different dynamics, and I think that’s
