FARRELL, Pa. - A family is accused of stealing over $440,000 from a doctor's office in Farrell over the course of several years.

According to a criminal complaint, police spoke with the newly appointed manager of a doctor's office in Farrell in July of 2025 after the bank had called her to question some "high-dollar" checks that had been written.

Police say the checks were all written to David Hardin and were valued in the thousands. The woman told the bank that the doctor did not authorize any of those checks.

The new manager told police that before she took over operations, Diane Hardin managed all checks written through the office to pay for office-related expenses.

Police say the checks date back several years and amount to a total of $174,946.23.
