INDIANAPOLIS — After months of heated debate and state lawmakers feeling the heat from Washington, a final vote on redistricting is just 24 hours away.
It's all part of a Republican push to redraw the state's congressional district maps to try to gain more seats in the U.S. House next year in the 2026 midterm elections.
Wednesday, Senate Democrats offered three amendments to the redistricting bill, but none of them passed.
