ROSCOMMON COUNTY — Roscommon County Commissioner, David Russo, who also serves as Markey Township’s fire chief now faces sex crimes charges involving a minor.

David Russo was charged Wednesday in Roscommon County District Court.

Roscommon County Commissioner Chair Darlene Sensor said the county board has heard little from Russo since his arrest back on November 16th. She said they were caught off guard by the charges against him.

“Surprised? shocked. I think all the board members felt that way when we heard the charges. But as a board, we’re very limited in what we’re able to do,” said Sensor.

The 67-year-old is now charged with three counts of third-degree sex crimes and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
