LEXINGTON, S.C. — The Lexington County Coroner’s Office has identified the man shot and killed inside a Berryhill Road apartment earlier this week.

Coroner Margaret Fisher reported that 30-year-old Kendall Lemont McTeer, of Columbia, was pronounced dead at the scene after deputies responded to an apartment at 18 Berryhill Road on December 9, 2025. McTeer suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body.

An autopsy has been scheduled for Friday, December 12, 2025, at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.

The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department and the Lexington County Coroner’s Office are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting. No additional details have been released as the investigation remains active.
