SAN ANTONIO — Homicide investigators have little to go on as they try to identify some human remains found in southwest San Antonio Tuesday.
The bones were found in the area near what appears to be an abandoned hand-dug well near Quintana Road and Southwest Military Drive.
The medical examiner has been unable to release any information yet, and because of the state of the remains, police said this very well may be a tough case to crack.
An SAPD Sergeant on scene said it's likely the person may have died some time ago, in an area that is a conduit for travel for people in the area who are homeless.
With regard to what clues are available, police said officers located the remains lodged into an abandoned water well south of Quintana Road.
