A young Sudbury man has been charged by U.S. officials with operating a multi-million-dollar crypto scheme.

Nathan Gauvin, 26, was arrested Wednesday in England on a warrant issued by the Eastern District of New York, according to a release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

He is charged with a “conspiracy to commit securities fraud and wire fraud, securities fraud, wire fraud, investment adviser fraud, bank fraud, money laundering, obstruction of justice and aggravated identity theft,” the release states.

The charges in the 21-count indictment unsealed Wednesday in Brooklyn remain to be tried in a court of law. The accused is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
