OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - A man has been sentenced over a gun linked to a May shooting that killed a 19-year-old man in North Omaha.
A judge sentenced Samuel Guy , now also 19, to 360 days in jail over a charge of unlawful possession of a firearm by a prohibited juvenile offender. He pleaded “guilty” to the charge on Nov. 25.
Guy will have credit for 188 days already served. He was 18 at the time of the shooting near 48th and Pratt streets that left 19-year-old Somalian refugee Janidi Ibrahim dead.
Guy had a previous adjudication for robbery and attempt to commit —a class 2A felony.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office served a warrant for Guy’s arrest on May 22 — the same day as the shooting
