A New Jersey Lottery player in Essex County won $1 million in Wednesday’s Powerball drawing after matching all five white balls, officials said.
The jackpot rolled over and now stands at $1 billion for Saturday, Dec. 13. The cash value of the prize is $461.3 million, according to the New Jersey Lottery.
The winning numbers for the Wednesday, Dec. 10 drawing were 10, 16, 29, 33, and 69. The Powerball was 22 with a multiplier of 03.
The $1 million winning ticket was sold at Krauszer’s Food & Liquor on Broad Street in Bloomfield. A second New Jersey player in Somerset County won $50,000 with a ticket purchased at Main Street Food & Liquor on Main Street in South Bound Brook, lottery officials said.
The current jackpot run began after two players in Missouri and Texas split a $1.8 billion jackpot on Sept. 6. Since then, 34 New Jersey Lottery players have won prizes of at least $50,000. Among those winners, one claimed $2 million, four claimed $1 million, and three won $100,000.
The next Powerball drawing is scheduled for Saturday night.
