RALEIGH, N.C. — A UNC Rex nurse arrested Wednesday on accusations he sexually assaulted two patients now faces additional charges after a third victim came forward, according to Raleigh police.

WNCN reports that Brayan Alvarez Ortiz, 28, of Whitsett, was rebooked Friday on two counts each of first-degree kidnapping, sexual contact or penetration under the pretext of medical treatment, and sexual battery. He faces the same charges in the other two cases as well.

A new warrant states Ortiz “unlawfully confined” a patient to “terrorize” them and commit felony sexual contact, and describes the victim as “incapacitated.” Alvarez Ortiz made his first court appearance Thursday and was denied bond.
