New Delhi: On a day when Mexico went the American way in imposing steep tariffs on India , China and other Asian countries, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a “warm and engaging” telephonic conversation with US President Donald Trump.

“Had a very warm and engaging conversation with President Trump. We reviewed the progress in our bilateral relations and discussed regional and international developments.
