Bhubaneswar: As severe cold wave conditions gripped Odisha, G Udayagiri, a hill station in Kandhamal district, continued to be the coldest place in the state for the second consecutive day recording 3.1 degrees Celsius.

As per the data shared by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the minimum temperature dropped below ten degrees Celius in at least 16 places in the state in last 24 hours. ADVERTISEMENT

Closely following G Udayagiri, Semiliguda in Koraput recorded a minimum temperature of 4.6°C, while Phulbani recorded 5.5°C, Daringbadi 6°C, Koraput 6.5°C, Chipilima 7.8°C, Nabarangpur & Rourkela 8°C, Jharsuguda 8.2°C, Bhawanipatna 8.5°C, Angul 9°C, Kirei, 9.2°C and Dhenkanal, Rayagada, Boudh and Sundargarh recorded 10°C.
