RIO RANCHO, N.M. —

Santa's Senior Helpers made a special stop in Rio Rancho, delivering Christmas cheer to older adults like Joe and Rina Davis.

"I couldn't sleep last night knowing that somebody was coming," said Rina Davis.

Elizabeth Keene, owner of Senior Helpers of Albuquerque, explained that these "senior helpers" are nonmedical home care providers who check in year-round, but during the holidays, they bring extra cheer.

"This Christmas kind of holiday cheer that we like to bring is a tradition for us every year around the holidays. We love to just spread Christmas magic and be present for our clients and show up for them ... because sometimes things change and they have a little bit of a harder time doing so," Keene said.
