Performing on a clock-heavy set themed to A Matter of Time and alongside an eight-piece ensemble, Laufey ran through an enchanting rendition of “Lover Girl.” As usual with the Icelandic jazz singer, her sound is suave and buoyant, taking a classic Bossa Nova groove and imbuing it with lush instrumentation and personality.
