Christmas is approaching fast with households across the country preparing for the festivities and the new year. And while it means family gatherings, presents and lots of food it can also mean a pile of rubbish for the bin with wrapping paper, packaging and food waste galore. ‌

At this time of year it's even more important to know when your bins will be uplifted. Bin collection schedules will often change over the festive period to take bank holidays into account. To ensure you don't end up with overflowing bins this year, we have gathered a full list of collection dates across the country. ‌

While some councils have moved their uplift dates to before their usual dates, others have adjusted them by a couple of days. Other councils have not yet released dates
