On Thursday, the New Orleans Pelicans (3-22) host the Portland Trail Blazers (9-15) at the Smoothie King Center, and if you’re wondering how to catch the action live, you’ve come to the right place.
The Pelicans dropped their seventh straight game on Monday, falling 135-132 to the San Antonio Spurs. The group overcame a 25-point deficit and traded the lead seven times in the fourth quarter, before Dylan Harper hit the go-ahead shot with 9.1 seconds left.
Rookie Derik Queen led the Pelicans with 33 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists and four blocked shots, becoming the fifth player to record a 30-point triple-double before turning 21. He is the first rookie to do so while adding four blocks since they first began being tracked in 1973-74.
The Trail Blazers are coming off a 119-96 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies, dropping to 1-3 on their current five-game road trip. They trailed for most of the contest after shooting 39.8% from the field and committing 26 turnovers, which led to 31 points for the Grizzlies.
Jerami Grant scored 21 points and seven rebounds, Deni Avdija tallied 17 points, seven rebounds and seven assists and Shaedon Sharpe added 17 points. Avdija is one of four players in the league averaging at least 25 points, seven rebounds and six assists per game.
The Trail Blazers and Pelicans are meeting for the second of four matchups this season. Portland took the first game on Nov. 12 and has won four straight overall in the series.
