CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Less than a week after a second stabbing on a Charlotte Area Transit light rail, the U.S. Attorney’s Office and Federal Bureau of Investigation will hold a press conference.
Russ Ferguson, a U.S. Attorney for the Western District of North Carolina, and James Barnacle Jr., the special agent in charge for the FBI in North Carolina, were scheduled to speak at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 11.

The latest stabbing happened on Friday, Dec. 5. Police arrested 33-year-old Oscar Solarzano and charged him with :
Attempted first-degree murder
Assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury
Break/enter a motor vehicle
Carrying a concealed weapon
Intoxicated and disruptive
He was denied bond by the magis
