WCAX 3 BurlintonBERLIN, Vt. (WCAX) - The Berlin ice skating rink will not be open this year.
Town officials say the rink is in poor condition and there is limited volunteer involvement.
The Berlin Recreation Committee encouraged the town to pursue future grant opportunities to make the necessary repairs.
Skaters looking for alternatives can visit the Central Vermont Memorial Civic Center in Montpelier for indoor skating with public hours, or the North Barre outdoor rink on Treatment Plant Drive for free, weather-dependent skating.
