TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - The Tucson Police Department SWAT served a high-risk search warrant on Thursday morning on the southside.

According to TPD, SWAT served the warrant near Irvington Road and Tucson Boulevard on Dec. 11.

As a precautionary measure, Esperanza Elementary was placed on a lockdown, which has since been lifted.

Students and staff on the campus are safe and normal operations have resumed, school officials said. They added that all outside activities will remain paused until further notice.

TPD said the high-risk search warrant is related to an ongoing investigation.
