TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - Plans for Project Blue, a major data center project, are taking shape. Beale Infrastructure has committed to matching 100% of the project's energy consumption with renewable energy and pledging $15 million toward local education and workforce development.
On June 16, the Pima County Board of Supervisors approved a land acquisition agreement for Project Blue, initially considering annexation into the City of Tucson. However, the city decided against annexation on Aug. 6. Beale Infrastructure then opted for an air-cooled closed loop system for cooling, eliminating the need for water consumption for industrial purposes. Download PDF
