Some of President Donald Trump’s supporters are lashing out at California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) over a clap back to the White House.

Newsom late Wednesday shared an AI-generated video of Trump, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller in handcuffs, as the text, “It’s cuffing season,” appears on the screen.

The video, posted on X, depicts the three men sitting on a curb with their hands behind their backs, before they are seen starting to cry in a police car. It concludes with them walking near what appears to be a courthouse.

Newsom’s post directly responded to a separate video earlier this week from the White House, which shows a montage of arrests from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
