PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle Derrick Harmon is ‘optimistic’ that he can return this Monday from a knee issue that has forced him to miss the last two games.
Harmon says the injury is in the same knee he suffered an MCL sprain in earlier this season, but it is a completely different injury that he manages.
Mike Tomlin said that Harmon will return to practice this week, and the quality of his practices will determine if he will suit up against the Miami Dolphins. With an extra day to prepare and play, it seems like Harmon has a real chance.
Harmon has missed the last two weeks, and the Steelers have allowed consecutive games of 200 or more yards rushing. Pittsburgh has allowed 191.2 yards per game without Harmon in the lineup compared to just 96 yards per game w
