NJ Transit will restore the 20-trip FlexPass ticket which was cut in 2024 despite its popularity with commuters working hybrid schedules between the workplace and home.

FlexPass officially returns in late February, officials said. It offers a 15% discount, however, the 20 tickets must be used in 30 days.

It was introduced in February 2021 after the COVID-19 pandemic to accommodate commuters who previously bought monthly passes but were working split schedules. That version of FlexPass offered a 20% discount.

NJ Transit CEO Kris Kolluri announced the decision on Wednesday and credited Customer Advocate Franck Beauman for proposing the return of FlexPass.
