ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) — The South Carolina Highway Patrol is making a new push they hope will lead them to the driver who struck a pedestrian five years ago in Orangeburg County.
Troopers say they are searching for a white 1997 to 2003 Ford F150 or a white 1997 to 2002 Ford Expedition with damage to the front end and passenger-side mirror.
The hit-and-run happened on Feb. 5, 2020, between 5 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. on Coach Road near Dawson Street in Orangeburg County.
The pedestrian died as a result of the crash but troopers say the driver left the area.
Troopers released photos of vehicles similar to the one they are still searching for.
Anyone with information is asked to submit an anonymous tip to the South Carolina Highway Patrol at 843-953-6010 or 800-768-1501.
