CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — An affidavit shows details of an incident involving a College of Charleston officer arrested and charged with misconduct.
Robert Arnett, 34, was charged with assault with intent to commit first-degree criminal sexual conduct and misconduct in office, according to jail records.
The affidavit says that a woman had been downtown earlier in the evening and was found by a passerby near King and Spring streets in the early morning hours of Dec. 6, appearing heavily intoxicated and unable to care for herself. The passerby flagged down Arnett, who was in a marked College of Charleston police vehicle, and he agreed to escort the woman to her home.
