BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — CarePortal, a "care sharing" organization that connects churches with vulnerable children and families, made its official West Virginia debut in Harrison County this week.
Representatives from CarePortal, Chestnut Mountain Village, and the West Virginia Department of Human Services held a launch event Thursday at the Benedum Civic Center to celebrate the program’s first full start in the Mountain State. The platform was previously piloted in Preston and Monongalia counties earlier this year, but Thursday’s announcement marked the first full-scale, permanent launch.
