AUSTIN, Texas — A school bus was involved in a crash in southeast Austin Thursday afternoon, according to the Austin Fire Department (AFD).

AFD and Austin-Travis County EMS (ATCEMS) responded to the crash, which occurred in the 14400 block of Sandifer St., near Hornsby Bend east of State Highway 130.

AFD confirmed to KVUE that 32 students were on board the bus when the crash happened, but there were no serious injuries. Some students were still evaluated on scene for minor injuries.

Del Valle ISD confirmed that the bus involved belonged to the district. The district said that no injuries were reported, but all students were assessed out of an abundance of caution and subsequently cleared by EMS. Parents of the students were notified and the bus continued on its route.
