TOLEDO, Ohio — A woman charged with obstructing justice in the Nov. 2 homicide of 19-year-old Jasmine Queen in south Toledo has pleaded not guilty.
Brooklyn Cobian, 19, was arraigned on the third-degree felony charge on Wednesday, after being indicted by a grand jury on Dec. 1.
Two 18-year-olds, Marvin Pettaway and Marshaun Purley, were indicted on the same day as Cobian on a slew of charges in the shooting death of Queen, including aggravated murder, murder and felonious assault. Pettaway was arrested on Nov. 20 and Toledo police issued an arrest warrant for Purley on the same day.
It is not clear how Cobian is accused of protecting Pettaway and Purley, who are accused of shooting Queen in a parking lot at Hill Avenue and Reynolds Road after an overnight party at The Weekend restaura
