OGDENSBURG, New York (WWNY) - Another payroll comes at Christmas for North Star Health Alliance, but not much has changed between the group and the state.
Conversations continue between North Star and the state Department of Health.
The group says it’s owed $50 million the state agreed to when Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center in Ogdensburg changed its business model.
CEO Rich Duvall says he had a meeting the DOH on Wednesday, and North Star Health Alliance “appreciates their time and continued support during this time of transition.”
Meanwhile, lawmakers like Assemblyman Scott Gray remain in the middle.
“The need is critical, there’s no question about that, but the information is still outstanding and needs to be provided to the DOH,” said Gray (R. - 116th District).
