COMPTON – Eric Perrodin has formally submitted his resignation as Compton city attorney on Dec. 8.

“I submit this resignation voluntarily and with full understanding that, under Section 505 of the Compton City Charter, it creates a vacancy to be filled by the City Council in accordance with the Charter and applicable law,” wrote Perrodin.

Perrodin was brought back to the City Attorney’s position by Compton Mayor Emma Sharif. This occurred after Damon Brown resigned in September 2021.

Perrodin ran unopposed for a full term in a special election held in March 2024.

Compton’s public information officer, Gabrielle Barber, has not responded to multiple requests for comment on city matters.
